DESCRIPTION:Memorial Day as always is a busy time for the Willard Camp. This year we will be involved with three Memorial Day events.\nThis year of 2020 marks the 152nd anniversary of the issuing of General Order No. 11\, by John A. Logan\, Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic\, and establishing May 30th “for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in the defense of their country”. If you are available and can attend please contact Commander Brian Castler at your earliest convenience. We will need at least four Brothers for the Color Guard. All Brothers are encouraged to come and honor their Civil War ancestors and all who have died in defense of their county. \nMay 30th\, Decoration Day Ceremony Time 9:30 AM\, Albany Rural Cemetery at 10:00 meet at the caretaker’s house. After services at Albany Rural\, we will proceed to Oakwood Cemetery and conduct services there; with visits to Col. Willard’s and Gen. Thomas’s grave sites. We will have a Camp Color Guard\, Bugler\, and be in Civil War or Camp Uniform. \nPlease contact Commander Castler regarding the above events no later than Wednesday\, May 22nd at cmdr@glwillard154.org

DESCRIPTION:At 10 am we will be having our camp meeting at the Hartford Museum and Howard Hanna Civil War Memorial Enlistment Center\, located in the Town of Hartford\, Washington County. \nAfter the meeting we will muster for a short ceremony to dedicate the new flag pole the camp donated to the Howard Hanna Civil War Memorial Enlistment Center and Museum.  \nThe Museum is located on Main Street in Hartford\, NY. \n*Please Note we are meeting in Hartford and Not Watervliet for the monthly November camp meeting* \n
